Your Excellency:
 
I am writing
                                    to you about the arrest of Khadijeh Moghaddam on April 8th at her home
                                    in Tehran. 
 
Khadijeh Moghaddam is a member of the Campaign
                                    for Equality.  When arrested, she was accused of spreading propaganda against
                                    the state, disrupting public opinion, and performing actions against national security. 
                                    She is currently being held in the Vozara detention center in Tehran.
 
Amnesty International
                                    believes Khadijeh Moghaddam is a prisoner of conscience and is being held solely
                                    for her peaceful activities to end legal discrimination against women in Iran.  Please urge the authorities to release her immediately and unconditionally.
 
In addition,
                                    please ensure that while she is in detention she is
 
·          
                                    granted access to her family and a lawyer of her choice, and
·           protected
                                    from any form of torture or ill-treatment.
